Registration

• Type in Name, Address, etc.
• Telephone Number -- it's a required field, but any 7-10 numbers will do if you do not wish to leave your real phone number.
• Username & Password -- you now choose your own. Keep it simple but something you can remember.
• Info to Find your Password -- This is a new feature so that you can retrieve your password if you forget it.
  • Type a Question -- Simply type a simple question like: "Mothers Maiden Name; My Birthday; My Middle Name. (When you query for the password, you will see this question and a place to enter the answer. Then, the auction script will use your answer to retrieve your password. [Great New Feature of this Auction Script]
  • Type the Answer -- Keep it simple -- one word or numbers.
• Enter Credit Card Info -- This is optional but very helpful when the auction ends and you have won an item[s]

How to Bid !!

1. Complete==>> Registration Information
2. You now can bid on any lot using the Username and Password you choose. (New feature of this Auction Script)
3. Click on "Back to the Auction"
4. Scroll down the list of Countries featured in this Auction. Click on "Stamps" or "Postal History" (Covers) or "Collections" to view listing of lots available for the Country you desire viewing.
5. Click on any item to view image and complete details.
6. Remember -- simply click on "Thumbnail Images" to view full screen.
7. Enter your bid at an increment higher than the present bid.
8. Opening Bid is now an "Estimate" with Reserves starting at 70% [85% reserve most common]
9. Use "Max Bid" to help you increase success of your bid on this Item. If a higher bid is received on this item, you will automatically be notified via E-mail so that you may re-bid if you so desire. (Another new feature of this Auction Script)
10. Your bids will be verified by return E-Mail.
11. Click on "Return to the Auction" to bid or view other Items.

Bids Received on the Final Day of Auction !!

New Rule to ensure Fair Opportunities to all bidders Worldwide

• If a bid is received during the final 24 hours of the auction on any item[s] previously bid on, all previous bidders will be given 24 hours additional time to place another bid on this item[s].
• This rule will allow all bidders to have an equal opportunity to secure any Item in this auction.
• I am attempting to even out time zone differences and prevent last minute bids on any item.
• This Rule also makes this Auction more realistic and more like a genuine Public Auction where bidders in the room have an equal opportunity to secure any lot in the Auction.
• As many re-bids as necessary will be allowed until the final hammer price is determined.
• Some bidders will like this rule, others not. I am trying to fair to all bidders so that no bidder is disappointed with last minute bids. I am sure that you will find this fair to all concerned.

Add Your Own Items to this Auction

• Choose a Category (Country) and Sub-Category (Stamps, Postal History, Collections) from the existing list on Main Auction Page. You cannot add another category !!
• At the bottom of Main Auction Page, there is a link to "Add Items" -- Click on this link.
• Complete all entries as indicated on the "Add Items Page" -- it's self-explanatory.
• Click on "Add Item" -- your item will be added to the Auction.
• You will be notified by E-Mail that your item has been added.
• At end of auction, I will notify you via E-mail if your item has sold and upon receipt of 8% fee - (Minimum $3.00), the name and address of winning bidder will be sent to you. You will transact payment and delivery of item with the winning bidder.
• Scanned images sent to me via an E-mail attachment can be added for a fee of $1.00 each -- 5 for $3.00 -- non-refundable.
• Philatelic Items Only -- No Exceptions !!!!!
• Oceania Philatelic Galleries reserves the right to refuse and/or remove any Item added to this Auction.

Opening Bids are Now Estimates !!

• Opening Bid is now an "Estimate" with Reserves starting at 70% .
• Previous OPG Auctions were Minimun Bid Mail Sales -- this new Auction Script allows for Reserves.
• You may now bid lower than the Opening Bid but all Items have Reserves.
• Reserves start at 70% with 85% the most common. The Auction Script will tell you if your bid is too low. Of course, if a lot has received a bid, then you must bid higher than the current bid at the next bidding increment to have your bid accepted.
• Many bidders often use the "Max Bid Feature" whereby they try and secure the lot at a higher price than the bid shown if necessary. If a lot has a Max Bid, you must bid higher than this Max Bid for the Auction Script to accept your bid. Just keep bidding higher and higher until the Auction Script accepts your bid.
